Heidi holds a degree in Accounting from Kansas State University and worked after graduation in Kansas City, MO for Deloitte and Touche as a tax analyst. She continued in corporate tax at Sprint Corporation and, later, at Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company in Oak Brook, IL.
After the birth of her first child, Heidi chose to stay home and has since volunteered within District 204 in many different capacities. She has served on the PTA board at Kendall Elementary School and as Vice President of the PTSA at Crone Middle School. Heidi also, for both Kendall and Crone, volunteered as a delegate for the Indian Prairie Parents’ Council.
Reading and literacy have always been a great passion, and, as such, Heidi has volunteered at her children’s school libraries throughout their time in the district and continues to do so at Young Elementary. She and her husband have lived in District 204 for 22 years. They are on the Founder’s Council of the Field Museum and are active in promoting the awareness and importance of science and STEM education. They have a son at Neuqua Valley High School and a daughter at the University of KS majoring in biology.
