Dr. Chad Stevens

Chad A. Stevens, Ph.D. currently works for Amazon Web Services as a leader on their team focused on K-12 Education. Prior to Amazon, Chad was the Chief Education Strategist for CDW-G. He has dedicated his career to improving education outcomes for all students, and he is excited to do the same while volunteering for the foundation.

In his role at CDW-G, co-founded Collaboration Nation, an awards program that recognizes the nation’s finest examples of collaboration in K-12 educational technology, and the K-12 Connected Heat Map, which shows the current prevalence of wired and wireless classroom connectivity state by state.  In addition he co-founded #ConnectIT, a thought leadership blog on education technology. Before joining CDW-G he worked at Dell as a senior consultant focused on IT transformation and strategy for K-20 institutions across North America.

Before moving into private sector, a majority of his career was spent with the Clear Creek Independent School District (Texas). Clear Creek serves more than 41,000 students in suburban Houston and encompasses the Johnson Space Center. During that 14 year span he served as a Classroom Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Instructional Technology and Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Stevens, a former teacher of the year was featured in The Principal’s Guide to Curriculum Leadership and regularly speaks at educational technology conferences. He maintains Superintendent Certification in Texas and is ITIL v3 Certified.

Chad moved to Naperville, IL in December of 2014 with his wife Sarah, and his two sons Caleb and Carson who attend Indian Prairie School District 204 schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University, a Master of Science in Educational Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
