Cynthia’s involvement in the district began when her children started school at Wayne Builta Elementary in 2013. She has been involved with the school as a parent volunteer and PTA member where she served as both the Social and Ways & Means Chair. Cynthia received the District 204 Volunteer of the Month in November 2016, being recognized for her efforts with the PTA. She branched out and began her volunteer work for IPEF in 2017 with Team IPEF. She now works part-time supporting IPEF as an Administrative Assistant.
Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, Cynthia worked as a Team Lead in Revenue Operations at Verizon Business for 9 years. Her role included auditing and analyzing global/government accounts, problem solving and working with other analysts for training purposes.
Cynthia grew up in Joliet, Illinois, where she attended the University of St. Francis. She and her husband moved to Bolingbrook in 2006. Their three children have been enrolled in District 204 schools since kindergarten and currently attend Wayne Builta Elementary.
