Bill Perry has a long career in engineering and manufacturing technology. He holds a BS degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Perry’s early career experience as an engineer and product development specialist in large multi-national companies eventually led to executive positions in the power generation, industrial controls, machine tool and metals processing industries. In 2002, he founded Mercury Business Development Services, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and marketing programs for manufacturers. He currently serves as Mercury’s President.
Perry is a past Committee Chair of the Association for Manufacturing Technology and Kiwanis International. Locally, he has served on the IPSD204 Technical & Engineering Advisory Board, the Project Lead the Way Advisory Board and the Neuqua Valley High School Principal’s Advisory Council. He is an evangelist for STEM education and providing students with exposure to new, cutting-edge technologies they wouldn’t ordinarily encounter. Perry helped launch IPSD204’s competitive robotics program by starting up the district’s first high school robotics club.
Bill and his wife live in Naperville. They have two adult children who proudly attended IPSD204 schools from 1st through 12th grades.
