A+ Award Winner at Metea
The Indian Prairie Educational Foundation and District 204 honored Jennifer Rowe, a Dean at Metea Valley High School, as the November A+ Award recipient.
Four different individuals submitted nominations for Rowe. Each sang praises of her encouraging attitude and long list of activities she has made possible at Metea Valley. “She organizes cultural celebrations, does the prom dress give away, trains staff in Restorative Justice, collects money for the food bank and goes out of her way for all students,” wrote one nominator. “Jen changes culture and climate. She is a true difference maker.”
Rowe has been an educator for more than 20 years. She has worked in District 204 for the past 13 and previously worked as an English teacher before being recruited to join the staff at Metea Valley. She was honored to be recognized for her efforts and says it’s easy to come to work when you love what you do. “The things that you do every day, the little things, they make a big difference.”
Wells Fargo Advisors are partnering with IPEF and District 204 to help recognize one staff member each month for making a difference for students. To celebrate these outstanding staff members, Wells Fargo Advisors is donating $500 for the staff member to use in his or her school.
